An amazing article just popped up at the NYTimes website, featuring something called web trolling--the description of which I will leave you to read up on, in the article. It involves individuals or groups of individuals who feel a need for balance in the online community, whereby they incorporate negativity in various doses, administered to particular groups or individuals that they feel must be targeted.
Not many things make my skin crawl online anymore, but this sure was one of them. It's a similar sensation to when you look at a great white shark mere feet away from the shark cage you're in...and you are amazed at the beauty but still take just one or two steps back. Or, when you just survive a major accident, and you're both relieved and thankful, but are still shaking hours later, and are never quite the same ever again.
