Book Review: Chambers Desktop Guides--Writing for the Web

I recently acquired the tiny and adorable-looking Chambers Desktop Guides--Writing for the Web, written by Susannah Ross. 2007. Approximately 215 pages.

The book is divided into easily-encapsulated major sections:
  1. Thinking About Websites -- a great look at how web sites emerged to where they are now and how to think like a website writer
  2. Thinking About Writing -- mostly a refresher on the English language and grammar
  3. Putting It Into Practice -- the nitty gritty of actually writing for the web--and I was particularly interested in the writing for search engines section.
Each section comes to a close with a summarized checklist of major items of concern discussed.

I like this. It's a great little, concise reference piece to keep on hand when writing for website projects.
