Animal Rights Article on Princeton U. Publication

There's a great historical article titled "Early Steps Towards Animal Rights" by Charles G. Gross, and it appeared on the May 11, 2009 issue of the Princeton Science Magazine. This is actually a review of another author's book "For the Love of Animals: The Rise of the Animal Protection Movement" by Kathryn Shevelow.

It's an uber quick glance at how this movement began and its progress back and forth through the ages. It goes as far back as ancient Greece.

Excellent resource for those writing articles against dog fighting, against scientific/medical research on animals, the role of animals in societies from ancient times through industrialization, or those interested in the history of English blood sports.
