Mostly, I'm in denial and disbelief at the extensive destruction that keeps rolling out. If the earthquake's devastation wasn't enough, then you have the tsunami, and now the nuclear meltdown alert.
It's damn scary for those on the ground, still looking for missing loved ones, and for the rest of us as we hope the best for them, and are fearful of another Chernobyl that will affect us all.
If you'd like to help, there's a number of ways to find out where to direct your energy:
- Google was one of the first groups to take action, since their Japan team began posting useful tools together into one page, the 2011 Japanese Earthquake and Tsunami resource page.
- The American Red Cross has an aid response put together and is accepting donations
- TimeOut Tokyo also has a resource page to see how you can help
