The book came together in 1926, so these stories are meant to generalize and be applicable to a variety of hard working people looking to make it in the world.
So far, I find it too much like a Aesop's Fairy Tales with a homoerotic tendency, rather than financially illuminating.
Case in point:
- Pg 13 - "Beads of perspiration formed upon his brow and trickled down unnoticed to lose themselves in the hairy jungle on his chest"
- Pg 15 - "As young men we shared each other's pleasures"
So, 38 pages in, I'm still waiting for the punchline.
